12U Tournament

Starting the season off with a bang! Westfield 12U Blue battled their way into the Championship game of the 12th Annual Clark Father's Day Classic 12U tournament.  It took the team 6 games to reach the finals playing until 8:30 pm on Father's Day. Over the 2 days, Westfield showed they are a powerful hitting team led by the bats of Molly Stogner, Michaela Hobson and Kalea Calugay. However, Westfield's big bats were not enough to overcome a powerful Cranford team falling short 6-2 in a well played final match up last night in Cranford. An RBI single by Mattie Waller put Westfield on the board in the the 5th inning.  Michaela Hobson added another run with a long, solo home run over the left field fence but Westfield ran out of time to make a final comeback. Great job Westfield 12U Blue!  Second championship game in less than 30 days!
